Trivia[]
- This is Julie Maddalena's first time voicing Tad.
- This is the last Leapfrog video to be released by PorchLight Entertainment.
- The plot is very similar to "A Christmas Carol", and a little bit of "It's a Wonderful Life" except for a few differences.
- While the original takes place during the 1800s, this movie takes place in present day
- The main character in the original is a rich man who resents everyone else, hates Christmas, and lives on his own, while Tad in this movie is friends with everyone, likes Christmas, but feels sad at how no one treats him right.
- Instead of three spirits representing Past, Present, and Future, only Edison is representing the Past spirit.
- The spirit is a bug instead of a human spirit like the original
- The focus on just the past, and everyone's life without Tad existing is similar to "It's a Wonderful Life".
- The spirit is a bug instead of a human spirit like the original
- This is the last Leapfrog video to use the original characters as most of them got replaced with new characters.
- This Leapfrog video marks the final appearances of Professor Quigley, Della, Dot, Mr. Websley, Mr & Mrs Frog, and others, to date.
- The manual that Mr. Frog was reading appears to be for computer schematics, even though he was building a bed.
- This is the only time that Tad cries.
- The babies' are never given names.
- This is the only LeapFrog film that wasn't re-released by Lionsgate.
- compared to the rest of the series, this film has much more serious overtones with kid friendly motives.
