Characters[]

Summary[]

Leap is excited about his invention for the school science fair, but when it doesn't work, he wants to give up. With the help of his grandpa, Leap refuses to give up and realizes that in order to succeed, sometimes you just have to keep trying.

Plot[]

Leap has built a self-cleaning lunchbox and a boomerang ball last month, and now he is inventing his latest invention: inflatable feet, which he will show to his friend Tim.

On his first attempt of inventions for the Annual Alphaville Academy Science Fair, Leap made inflatable feet for the science fair tomorrow. Tim was at the door, encouraging that Leap will win the first prize. When Leap pumps up the inflatable feet on Tad to watch someone else use them, he REALLY DISLIKES to get wet with those inflatable feet. It wasn’t as good, but he hopes to keep on trying...

Leap and Tad run to the pond behind the Alphaville Academy school. On the second try, Leap takes his notebook and Tad put on his inflatable feet and toppled into the water. Leap wrote "Test #1: Failure" in the notebook.

On another attempt, Leap asks Tad how to balance on a bicycle. Leap went back to his room for a few minutes and imagined different ways to get feet moving with wheels. He spotted an automatic remote-controlled airplane flying and his feet needs wheels with tiny motors.

Leap worked late with Edison at night, but as the clock says 8:30pm, Mom turned off the lamp; before he went to bed, Leap goes back to his desk and pulls out his soggy notebook and writes "Test #2: Failure" in it.

Leap will never be an inventor talking to Grandpa, but he hopes to try it again, when the rain stops.

When it stopped raining, the cheerleaders started their practice. Leap and Edison tried harder and harder, and Leap has the won first prize. The Annual Alphaville Academy Science Fair has now became a SUCCESS!
