Trivia[]

  • During development, a few test builds for the Nintendo DS were made. It is unknown if this game was planned to ever get a release for DS systems.[4]
  • The box art used on WayForward's site is a pre-release design.
  • Overall, the locations of the game would be generic like in Battle for Volcano Island, but decided to go with the world being "projected images of ZIM’s vision of how he will rule the world".[5]
    • The original generic style is mentioned as early as May 21.[6]
    • The earliest known use of the Invader Zim style being the main focus was on May 30 at 1:22pm, and was mentioned by Alex Potts.
  • A piece of artwork from SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature From the Krusty Krab is used as an example for Round 4 - More Extreme ZIM treatment of the Background Style Exploration.
    • The specific file is named BellyTrouble_GooCavern.jpg.

  • Tak would have been a playable character, but was cut due to time restrictions.
