Sonic X is a Leapster game released in 2006, and is based of the anime of the same name. In this game, Dr. Eggman has captured three of Sonic’s friends, even deploying math robots in an attempt to stop the hedgehog. It is up to Sonic to defeat these math robots and save his friends. This game aims to teach children simple and intermediate math problems.

Plot[]

The story begins in Station Square, where the player is introduced to Chris Thorndyke, a friend of Sonic the Hedgehog. Suddenly, Dr. Eggman shows up. Jealous of Sonic’s fame, he captures Miles “Tails” Prower, Amy Rose and Knuckles the Echidna. Hearing Chris’ call for help, Sonic gets to the scene in seconds and prepares to fight Eggman once again, before the mad doctor deploys a math robot, stopping Sonic. Chris tells the hedgehog that he needs to defeat these robots and is the only one who could save his friends. Deciding to save the day again, Sonic accepts the challenge.

After all three Zones have been cleared, Eggman retreats in frustration, claiming that Sonic won’t be lucky when they encounter next time. Sonic makes it back from his adventure to meet up with Chris and a cheering crowd. Chris congratulates Sonic for saving the day, and Sonic says it was “no sweat for these fast feet” before telling the player not to use robots in a math contest against hedgehogs.
